One more Valentine Wish

I made several of these little 3X3 cards for my daughter's charity project at her high school.  She boxed up cupcakes and decorated them to sell for Valentine's Day.  The Crumb Cake Cardstock looked nice with the boxes she used, and the pink matched the icing nicely too.  Simple and sweet.

Look at these cupcakes, and I only helped with boxing up the "fancy" ones.  Needless to say, Emma isn't the tiny sweetie pictured holding Henry on the side of my blog. She doesn't watch a lot of TV--she spends most of her time baking. Even on weeks when it isn't for Valentine's Day, she makes a couple batches of cupcakes. Usually everything (cupcakes, oreo balls, cake balls, spicy pretzels and puppy chow) sells for $1, but the fancy ones were $5.

All of the proceeds go to SWINE week at her high school. There is a different charity every year, and they have a lot of fun raising money. I don't know what she'll do with all her time when it ends..

3X3 Valentine's Day Cards

All those who purchased at stamp club this month received one of these little Heart 3X3 cards which used the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper. The traditionally shaped hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits match nicely with the pattern in the paper.

Tailored Tag Bubbles & Fizz Birthday Card

Can you stand to see one more Tailor Tag Card?  I think the Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper looks peppy and glitzy with it, and the iridescent sequins provide the shine and look of confetti.  It's a festival of Sale-A-Bration items with the Bermuda Bay ribbon.

Inky Friends Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog 2018 Hop Cake Soiree

Love it. Live it. Share it.  with the Inky Friends 2018 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop!

Join us for a trip through a few great items from the Occasions Stampin' Up! catalog.

You may have arrived from Heidi's Blog, Running with Scissors Stamper and enjoyed her creations with the Let the Good Times Roll Bundle. Weren't her cards fun and fantastic? For a full list of participants with links, go to the Inky Friends Blog.

I'm using the Sweet Soiree Suite which has such great colors in the designer series paper and available embellishments.

For this Three Tier Slider card, I used the video by my Inky Friend, Tanya to create this sparkly birthday card for my mom.  I love how the design of the card replicates a tiered cake, so I really wanted to make this card design. I tweaked the measurements so that it could be made with 8-1/2" X 11" cardstock.  I will post those for you next next week, but her video tutorial is nice and helpful, so I recommend using it.

The choices in the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit were so fun with this card. I loved putting the exact numbers on the cake and using the Marina Mist silver foil tassel for the pull point. It is necessary to glue the vellum pieces really well so that they don't snag. I used the fine tip glue pen for that.

On the little tag below, I used the Dark Pink Pirouette Blends marker to pink-ify the Whisper White 1/4 inch organza ribbon. I used the tiny rose die cut with a similar stamp under it for color, and then just added the For You as a "leafy" sentiment.  A smattering of iridescent sequins added just a big of bling.

On the card, I used this month's Viva La Verve sketch challenge, VLVFeb2018 , to place these pretty papers and embellishments one more time. VLVsketch I colored what is arguably the main image for this Cake Soiree using Blends, and popped it on a silver foil cake stand.  This is such a happy color combination to me.  I covered the cake and bow with Clear Wink of Stella, but sadly, I couldn't get it to appear on camera.

Now, I can't wait for you to see Twila's work with the A Good Day Stamp Set on her Stamp a Little Longer Blog. What cutie pie creations! That bunny is amazingly sweet.

Masculine Tailored Tag Punch Cards

I needed masculine cards so I wanted to use the handsome Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack to once again CASE the catalog (Page 44 - Spring) with changes.

The "Thanks!" from the You Move Me set was perfect for a simple masculine thank you.

I made this card for a friend's retirement from the National Guard.  I used the retired Star Punch to add a nod to the military.
